At CakeZake, we deal with perishable food products. This Refund & Cancellation Policy defines the terms under which cancellations, refunds, and replacements are handled.
2. Order Cancellation
a. Standard Orders
- Orders can be cancelled within 12 Hours of placing the order.
- Cancellation requests after this period may not be accepted.
b. Same-Day & Express Orders
- Cannot be cancelled once confirmed.
c. Custom Orders
- Custom-designed cakes are non-cancellable once production has started.
3. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are only applicable under the following conditions:
- Order was not delivered
- Wrong product delivered
- Product was damaged during delivery
- Quality issue verified by our team
4. Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:
- Incorrect delivery details provided by the customer
- Recipient unavailable at delivery location
- Product accepted without complaint
- Minor design variations (common in handmade cakes)
- Delay due to uncontrollable factors (traffic, weather, strikes)
5. Replacement Policy
Replacement may be offered instead of refund if:
- Product is damaged or incorrect
- Issue is reported within 2 hours of delivery
- Proof (photo/video) is provided
6. Refund Process
- Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days
- Refunds will be credited via:
- Original payment method, or
- Wallet/store credit (if applicable)
7. Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be issued if:
- Only part of the order is affected
- Customer agrees to partial compensation
8. Failed Delivery
No refund will be issued if:
- Delivery fails due to incorrect address
- Contact number is unreachable
- Customer refuses to accept delivery
9. Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders
- COD orders may require confirmation via phone/OTP
- Repeated cancellation of COD orders may lead to account restriction
10. Festival & Peak Days Policy
During high-demand periods (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Dashain, Tihar):
- Strict no-cancellation policy may apply
- Delivery delays may occur due to volume surge
11. Dispute Resolution
- All disputes must be raised within 24 hours of delivery
- Final decision rests with CakeZake after internal review
